Improved Care and Provision of Rural Access to Eliminate Health Disparities
Modules & Webinars
As part of ICARED, our project team developed modules that focus on rural health practice issues and skills. The modules consist of materials from the South Carolina Office on Rural Health, best practice information about rural health service delivery and interprofessional teamwork, and case studies about interprofessional rural healthcare.

The modules were created for asynchronous online delivery to students, so they can be refined and delivered beyond the life of this project at the College of Social Work as well as be submitted to the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education and Council of Social Work Education for national dissemination. In particular, these modules were created to be used in a seminar class on integrated health care and a new interprofessional course that will be created on tele-mental health in rural areas.
This work was supported by contract number 201712381A proviso 33.22(E)(4) which is a legislative grant funded by a rural health proviso with the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS). The work was approved by and developed in conjunction with DHHS and the USC school of Medicine. The points of view or opinions in this project are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official position or policies of the SCDHHS.
